C² Technologies Scores One Platinum, Two Gold Hermes Creative Awards

(Vienna, VA — May 16, 2012) C² Technologies, Inc. (C²), an industry leader in the development of enterprise-wide human capital and learning solutions, has won Hermes Creative Awards’ highest honor of Platinum, as well as two Gold Awards, during the 2012 installment of the international competition. Two additional entries were recognized with Honorable Mentions.

Winning the coveted Platinum Award was ACSC Joint Force Capstone Exercises, which C² developed in collaboration with the U.S. Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College (ACSC). The product prepares leaders to coordinate air, space, and cyberspace forces in joint operations by testing and assessing their skills in an interactive, scenario-driven environment. Because the landscape of the battlefield is ever-changing, ACSC’s capstone exercises are fully adaptable, updatable, and expandable within its existing infrastructure.

C²’s Gold Awards honored a pair of projects for the U.S. Department of Energy: the Jobs One Portal (J1P) and the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA’s) Virtual Orientation Center (VOC). J1P is a scalable public-facing website, located at jobs.energy.gov, which is integrated with USA Jobs to provide a streamlined mechanism for recruiting and hiring exceptional employees. The VOC, meanwhile, has revolutionized the on-boarding process at NNSA by allowing new staff to start their orientation experience in an engaging virtual environment prior to being cleared actually to begin work at secure facilities.

Named for the swift-footed messenger of Greek mythology, the Hermes Creative Awards program is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, and recognizes outstanding work in conceptualization, design, and development of traditional and emerging media. Over 4,700 entries in 179 categories were assessed in the 2012 competition, with only 15% of them earning a Platinum Award and 19% receiving the Gold.
