(Vienna, VA — November 19, 2012) C² Technologies, Inc. (C²) founder and CEO Dolly Oberoi has been elected to serve as one of seven members of the global board of trustees for The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).
Votes were cast worldwide to select TiE’s global trustees, and when they were tallied, Ms. Oberoi was the first woman ever to be chosen to fill one of those positions. Ms. Oberoi has served as the 2012 TiE DC President, and during her tenure has led TiE DC into one of the largest chapters in the world.
TiE has some 13,000 total members, including over 2,500 charter members in 57 chapters across 14 countries. The seven individuals selected to serve as global trustees represent the best of the organization’s leadership. Former/current entrepreneurs holding global leadership and/or mentor roles with TiE include Vinod Khosla (founder of Sun Microsystems), Arun Sarin (Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Group plc), Aditya Mittal (Chief Financial Officer, ArcelorMittal), Shiv Nadar (founder, HCL), Narayana Murthy (Founder, Infosys Technologies), and Desh Deshpande (Chairman, Sycamore Networks).
