Four Communicator Awards for C² Technologies, Inc.

(Vienna, VA — May 31, 2012) C² Technologies, Inc. (C²), an industry leader in the development of enterprise-wide human capital and learning solutions, has won four Awards of Distinction from the Communicator Awards, a program sanctioned and judged by the prestigious International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA).

A pair of awards went to two separate projects for the same initiative, in which C² provided strategic communications expertise to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Human Resources and Administration (HR&A), to enhance the implementation of its Human Capital Investment Plan (HCIP). Major accomplishments included the rebranding of HCIP to ADVANCE, a brand now recognized throughout the VA as well as across the Veterans community, and the design and development of engaging, targeted communication campaigns and training leveraging a variety of media strategies.

A third winning VA project, the Sundown Ranch video, is a modern-day Western designed to teach about information security and privacy within the VA. This engaging and entertaining production not only delivers required content in a novel and memorable format, but also meets VA’s annual information security and privacy training requirements as part of an organized presentation given by a local Information Security Officer or Privacy Officer. C² delivered the video on the Web and optimized a version for the iPads.

Finally, C² picked up an Award of Distinction for its efforts in developing training for the Brigade Combat Team Modernization (BCTM) effort at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) at Ft. Benning, GA. In support of MCoE’s objective of implementing a Persistent Learning Capability that enables soldiers to access Interactive Multimedia Instruction courseware anytime and anywhere, C² conducted a pilot program based on BCTM Capability Package 11/12 that focuses on Doctrine and Tactics Training for leaders within the Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The intent is to field courseware, hardware, and supplemental services to enable fielding to 3rd BCT/ 1st Armored Division for the Initial Operational Test and Evaluation and as the First Unit Equipped, as well as to support institutional training.

Now in its 18th season, the Communicator Awards is a leading international awards program dedicated to “recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications.” The 2012 competition received over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest programs of its kind in the world.
