DHHS HRSA Health Literacy

The purpose of this project was to create a comprehensive web-based interactive training program and interactive DVD that developed awareness of the importance of an integrated approach to health communication with patients, including health literacy, cultural competency, and working with those with limited English proficiency. The first audience for the training was health care providers who provide services in organizations that receive HRSA grants. The training is eligible for professional continuing education units.
