FAA Wind Shear and Micro-Burst Training

The Wind Shear and Micro-Burst (WSMB) Detection course was developed for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Air Traffic Control division to provide its personnel with training on the effects of weather phenomena (specifically influenced by air currents) on the performance of their duties, as well as the prescribed equipment operational procedures for detecting these factors and mitigating their impact.
