(Vienna, VA — October 12, 2012)
C² Technologies, Inc. (C²) was pleased to work with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to host a conference call on October 9 focused on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) small business success.
C² CEO and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) DC Chapter President Dolly Oberoi extended a meeting invitation to all charter members, and encouraged them to ask questions of Marie Johns, Deputy Administrator of the SBA, as well as other Government officials, including Gautam Raghavan, the Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement; Senior Advisor to the SBA Deputy Administrator Marisa R. Lee; and Special Advisor to the SBA Deputy Administrator Jay Tansey.
According to the SBA, small businesses are responsible for the creation of two out of every three new jobs. With over 1.5 million AAPI small business owners in the U.S., the goal of the well-attended discussion was a proactive exchange of ideas on how to improve outreach to the AAPI community, and to discuss various SBA programs that affect minority-owned businesses. These AAPI efforts mark a major milestone in SBA history.
