Beth Myers, our Gamification and Immersive Learning Lead, recently attended and presented at the Training Officers Consortium in early May. Beth’s focus was to showcase and prove to attendees that you can produce games and gamification in PowerPoint – without the use of codes or macros – to create more engaging VILTs, ILTs, or Blended solutions. Often, federal employees are limited in the resources they have to create and facilitate trainings, so demonstrating a solution that requires no code, no macros, a quick timeframe, and low cost is extremely valuable.
During the presentation, Beth went over basic terminology and analyzed elements of games. She then led attendees through various PowerPoint game demos – almost all of which were used with actual clients on actual projects! The group was able to generate valuable discussion about the different elements incorporated into each game, along with ideas that attendees could incorporate into their own PowerPoint games. The presentation was rounded off with a demonstration of a few of C2’s asynchronous game demos beyond PowerPoint, which encase VR games, Simulations, WBT games, and the Metaverse/Omniverse.
