C² Technologies, Inc. (C²) developed 3D immersive training to fulfill The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School’s (TJAGLCS’s) need to provide basic law of armed conflict training to newly assigned attorneys. Modular simulations provide non-linear activities that mimic real-world scenarios such as following discussing claims situation with host-nation civilians, facilitating a conversation between rival leaders, crowd control, addressing the media, and engaging hostiles. C² leveraged the Unity game engine to develop simulations through the reusability of avatars, environments, and various graphics. Students are placed in simulations as a first person avatar and allowed to freely navigate within the environment and perform a range of activities critical to maintaining peace, law, and order in a deployed environment.
