US Army JAG Criminal Law Advocacy Course

C² Technologies used an overarching scenario of a rape case to develop immersive simulations with rich, three-dimensional environments, dynamic face-to-face conversations, and various “real-life” activities supported by traditional knowledge-based lessons. The 3D interactive environments allow soldiers to explore the crime scene, collect relevant information, coordinate with other avatars in the legal process, and practice courtroom fundamentals, to include making objections and arguing in court. The online Criminal Law Advocacy Course replaces a week-long resident course, thereby saving the travel and per diem dollars for the Army. Additionally, the Pretrial and Objections simulations are used to support resident Judge Advocate basic and advanced courses. Incorporating these standalone simulations saves instructor-led training hours in those courses.
